Euki’s Story

In 2017, amid a groundswell of misinformation about sexual and reproductive health and mounting concerns about data privacy in the US, researchers at Ibis Reproductive Health embarked on a study across the US.

Their work revealed the urgent need for a more inclusive, secure health tracking option that centered communities too often underrepresented and misunderstood by existing sexual and reproductive health technology solutions.

Enter Euki, one of the first privacy-centered smartphone applications of its kind.

Named to evoke the soothing nature of the eucalyptus tree and to inspire a sense of trust—reminiscent of a close friend—Euki grew from a collaborative effort between Ibis, Women Help Women, and real-world users.

Since Euki’s launch, we have remained true to its co-creative roots by inviting users to provide continuous feedback and shape new enhancements, resulting in an app that empowers us to meet the moment in this critical time for sexual and reproductive health.
